Doodle

So earlier this afternoon I was doodling Rumpelstiltskin in a quiet pub and then looked up and saw how busy it'd got and people were definitely staring at me drawing weird little men...

I've been tinkering away at this, I'm not 100% sure if its right but sometimes you just gotta step away ! I've reworked this from a black and white image I did a while back of Will and Lyra you can see if you swipe right (SO looking forward to the BBC upcoming version)

I had the best fun with my roomates Fiona Lumbers, Steve Wood and Sam Meredith :) Saw lots of other chums out and about too, always great to catch up with folk! I came away really inspired and ready to crack on with my debut author picture book this year with Magination Press!

Travel Anxiety

I don't leave until Monday for the @BoChildrensBook and already the travel anxiety has popped in to check up on me! It's completely irrational as I'm fine once I'm through security at the airport!

Spring Equinox!

We made it to Spring!! 🌱🌸 Here's Eostre the pagan goddess bouncing in to welcome the equinox today! It's an auspicious time to plant seeds, have a big clear out and look forward to new and exciting projects to come.
I'm definitely excited for what I can work on this spring til the next one!

Set myself a to do draw list today and ended up drawing something completely different, but have wobbled back on track with some more sketching of what I was meant to be doing

Happy St.Davids/White Rabbit Day!! Hope you've all had some Welsh cakes already 😋
I vaguely remember seeing a photo of my Mam as a teenager in traditional Welsh dress, so thought I'd do a sketch for March 1st. (My mam is half Welsh on her father's side so spent some of her youth in Penclawwd. Little factoid there for you!)

Here's this morning's warm up, Will and Lyra! Me and Pedro have been re-reading @PhilipPullman's #HisDarkMaterials. I'd forgotten how much I loved Will and admired Lyra's gutsiness!

My warm up drawing from this morning was a bit of #alannathelioness fan art & having a play with the ink brushes on @procreate! I think I'll use a smaller percentage next time rather than the thickness used on Alanna, but it was fun to using a different brush from normal :)

Drawing with a suspected ear infection which is making me constantly dizzy is fairly tricky, but quite pleased with this character!

Hourly Comic Day

I'm in feedback limbo so had a massive lie in (and it was my birthday yesterday so think it's still allowed!) Spent this morning chatting raid bosses on my Pokémon Go WhatsApp group and pottered down for breakfast (nutty granola and alpro yoghurt fyi) :)

11am-12pm I try and set up my Switch Pedro naughtily bought me for my birthday!

12m-1pm whilst the switch charges up I thought I'd alter some Harry potter t-shirts nighties I've not worn into t-shirts!

1pm-2pm. Finally had a wash, and birthday cake and a cuppa for lunch #hourlycomicday (got the t.shirts done! I've a dress to hem for karaoke this eve, buy might leave it for now!)

2-3pm Peds had some lunch whilst watching a video about machine learning. It was lost on me

3pm-4pm I wish I found putting on makeup a joy. So much pressure to get it even on both eyes

4pm-5pm just getting ready/bit of Zelda earlier to meet @CatHartland and @BermoSocialClub for some grub and then karaoke! Will have to pick #hourlycomicday up tomo to fill in the rest!

6pm-7pm had a smashing meal at @DaddyBaoUK with my bestest pals #hourlycomicday used my new Instax camera for the first time!

And then to round the day off from 8pm to the early hours sang karaoke with my favourite chums  (Thanks for making it mega fun!)

Hereford Times

Mam texts to say my pic for @CourtyardArts Elves and the Shoemaker was in the @HTnewsroom, and was full of gushy mam praise  Dad says I'm getting better  #hardtaskmaster

Teens!

Been busy working on some amends and waiting on feedback, but here's something I finished for a thing end of last week :) (always find it amazing how teens can do their makeup using their phone as a mirror!)
