life drawing

Attended the @thegoodshipillo/@yoillo/@theaoi blenddrink&draw on Tuesday. Haven't done any life drawing in an age, but was quite pleased with these quick ones. We drew from what was around us, and these sum up my two life obsessions nicely plants and kylo ren

Mermay

A couple of sketches for #mermay! Just to keep my toe in on it

Aura and Percy

 Sketching some best pals today

(Would love a pegasus as a best pal...just able to fly off to wherever you wanted )

Sketch

Drawing mermaids instead of things I'm meant to be doing

Sketch

WHOOOO! We've made it to the weekend and only a few days until you can have a few pals in your garden I think this calls for eating an early Easter egg or ice-cream all weekend gang!

Map sketch

Have been back in writing/editing mode of late with my chapter book idea and have started roughing out a map where it takes place! Here's a snippet. Making maps is long and calls for intense bursts of concentration it turns out

Wednesday vibes

sketch

This doggo appeared in my sketchbook this evening. He could do with a name don't you think?...

IT'S WARM

Have achieved nothing today apart from this scrappy sketch as it's just been TOO WARM. Absolutely zapped of energy! I think she just about sums it up

Warming up today with this little lady

roughs

More rough thumbnailing today! This squiggle did make me chuckle (does anyone else laugh to themselves when they're drawing?!)

Thumbing up some roughs for an idea for the fab four! Here's a couple of Seagull

National Doodle Day entry

I've had the @epilepsyaction #nationaldoodleday pack sat next to me for ages but finally got round to putting pencil to paper! This doodle will be part of an auction 25th September so I'll do another post nearer the time! :)

Band Together

Just sent off a q+a about Band Together! To help me remember some of the process I went through some old sketchbooks. I kinda like these really roughs ones of Duck on his own. Originally he was going to be much more grumpy and hermit like!

Minstrel and Mermaid

Minstrels popped up again when I should be doing something else! He has a habit of doing that
Here he is with the band, but where's Mermaid?

Minstrel and Mermaid

Minstrel and Mermaid Venetian pair popped up again as a warm down illustration this evening!
(See my previous posts to see who they are!)

Junicorn

How is it June already?!!
Here's a warm down illo to mark the beginning of #junicorn!

Mermay

Sleepy sketchbook morning warm up for #mermay
