International Women's Day

Some of my fictional female heroines for #internationalwomensday2021 These ladies also date me to a specific time ha! But from an early age, She-Ra, Alanna the Lioness, Catwoman and Belle have empowered me in different ways from my childhood all the way through til now

Alanna the Lioness

Well the bank holiday weekend snuck up on us didn't it!

Alanna the Lioness

I am not enjoying this weather one bit

Alanna the Lioness

Have been looking up at the weather gods hoping they'll be kind to us at Greenman Festival this week end!

sketching

Using some old sketches to give Alanna some page training poses!

some work in progress

My warm up drawing from this morning was a bit of #alannathelioness fan art & having a play with the ink brushes on @procreate! I think I'll use a smaller percentage next time rather than the thickness used on Alanna, but it was fun to using a different brush from normal :)

Sketchbook Doodles

A few film/tv/book favourites there!

Alanna the Lioness

I'm meant to be finishing some colouring in, but instead I've coloured up an #alannathelioness doodle instead!

More Alanna the Lioness!

Drawing up another Alanna on the lightbox!

Finally treated myself to a copy of Alanna the Lioness only to find it's a signed copy! Winner!

And she spells Douglass the right way with a double S! ;)

Alanna the Lioness doodle!

Whilst waiting for my lovely and talented chum Karl Newson this afternoon an Alanna the Lioness doodle appeared in my sketchbook!
