Pablo the business card/concertina holder!

So it's my Masters degree bash this evening at the Canal Museum in Kings Cross. Hopefully Pablo will do his job without getting too merry on all the free wine.

Pages from my final project

Here's some pages from my book I wrote and illustrated for my final project 'The One and Only Pablo'. Obviously, they still need developing as I did a whole book in 3 months (!!!) I'll try and sum up the tale briefly...
Pablo has a love of hats, he's just bought a new one and when he gets home sees a flyer for the circus that evening, so he decides to go so he can show off his new hat.
He gets mistaken for one of the clowns and gets marched off to go on in the show! He tries to explain the mistake to Chico the dog but ends up performing so badly it makes everyone laugh.
The Trapeze family begin their act but Baby Trapeze's act goes wrong, and so Pablo rushes forward to save him from falling. Chico tries to hold Pablo back but his hat pops off to reveal Pablo is really a unicorn!! Pablo shoots a magic force field from his horn and catches Baby. Chico finds out why Pablo has been hiding his identity and makes Pablo see that it's nothing to hide being different and he ends up joining the circus and lives happily hat free ever after.

An almost real life Pablo!

Not content with finishing my visual summary two days before hand in, I decided I might as well make a sewn Pablo. Here he is with his mane half finished and I need to either sew or paint his face and his dappled legs as well as make a lovely pom pom red hat. He's going to look very pretty as he's doing that thing when horses go on the bit!

Long overdue post!

I've been in the thick of finishing my masters, but here's something that's pretty much finished, the covers!

My first attempt at bunting!

It's for Pedro's cousin's wedding a week Friday. Not the best colour scheme, but used up my scraps :o)

Horse sketching for George...

...so he looks slightly more like a horse than a moomin.

Weekend in Elan Valley

We camped up near Aberystwyth after driving through the damns at Elan Valley. Picked the most perfect weekend for it!

I'm sure it'll probably get changed again before the end though, but at least I've one down.

Still fannying about with colour *sigh* I'm starting to think I maybe colour blind, I'm finding it so tricky!

Thought I'd throw this up so I can look back and track my progress. This is super rough, but trying just coloured lines....

Thinking of where George would live!....

Just drawing up various locations. Need to think what the town and the circus would look like now....

Half way/beginning point on the town.... (based on Church Street in Hereford!)

An evening at Wimbledon.

Only queued for less than 30 mins, saw a womens single I forget at court 18 and then Jamie Lee Hampton against Daniela Hutchova in court 3. That was a good game, but now the young Hampton faces the british Heather Watson next!
Cycled up which was a good idea, so quick to get up to the tennis and home again, just in time to watch the sky go pink.
