Xmas and New Year!

So before leaving London to spend a few days with my family in Hereford, I went to the Carols by Candlelight at the Royal Albert Hall. Glorious as ever, and the orchestra in 18th C costume to boot!

Samson wasn't best pleased about travelling back to Hereford...

And then it was all over so quickly after seeing my favourite friends and family and we were back home in London!
Samson made the most of his traumatic travelling by demanding constant feeding of Stilton...
And for New Years Eve, we spent it with friends at The Antelope in Tooting, where there was a medieval banquet and hay was strewn everywhere! :)

So Happy New Year to you! Hope it brings everything you wish for.

Artsite 3 in Hereford!

If you head along to Hereford now til Christmas eve, head to the lovely Church Street opposite the Cathedral and pop into Artsite 3. They're selling crafty bits and pieces, cards and prints from artists all over the county. I'm selling cards and prints there too!!
Here's some snaps from the open evening :)
Definitely pay a visit it's a real gem of a shop.

(Was brilliant to see people spotting the fab four from a mile off! Heh!)

Back in Hereford for Hay Festival!

(Anyone recognise this as the inspiration for the third page from The One and Only Pablo?)

I'm back in Hereford at my folks house as it's Hay Festival all this week! I'm going armed with my iPad portfolio just incase, and hoping to get lots of events in. First up tomorrow is Ali Sparkes, hopefully the Linda Parry from the V&A about William Morris Textiles (He had a mill round the corner from where we live in South Wimbledon!) And the most exciting of all is a talk by Bobette Buster a Pixar story consultant and filmmaker about how to shape your story and how an emotional connection is key. Soooooo looking to that, think it'll really help the story ideas I have for Henny Bear and Duck.
Do give me a message if you are at Hay this week, I'm there everyday pretty much would be nice to see some faces I know through the internet! :D
