warm up sketch

A sketchbook doodle to get Monday on track!

A quick squiggle for #fanartfriday. It's Mara from
@DreamWorksSheRa (I am slightly obsessed with Mara and her outfit, as she has leggings)

It's nearly the weekend! Yay!

Cactus Blossoms

Got tickets for one of my fave bands The Cactus Blossoms today! Can't wait! So here's a little warm up doodle

Happy Birthday Harry Potter

Happy birthday Harry Potter! (And JK Rowling!) (Pretty sure he got one sheet of tissue paper the one year...

Roughs

Roughing up my pic book which is about animal musicians and so you can drop in animal band puns throughout, is possibly the highlight of my illustrating career thus far. Well chuffed to get my faves
British Sea Power in there!

Ewok

Return of the Jedi's on ITV (and plus 1!) Here's a quick ewok doodle

sketch

Happy Friday everyone! What a relief the weather's cooled a bit. Hugs all round (without them being sweaty and clammy)

sketch

Hot weather means super late working hours/ and early starts when you work from home and your studio is south facing, and all window. Felt like I was drawing in a greenhouse today!
Hope you're all hanging in there!

Picture Book sneak peek!

Sunday Funday! Hope you're all having a good weekend

sketch

You wot mate?

roughs

Making the most of @loveartclasses desk space to crack on with my pic book cover!
Monty Don keeping me company with familiar countryside from a Herefordshire wild flower meadow!)

Procrastination Bird

Procrastination bird is judging you

Epilepsy Action!

A late night doodle for @epilepsyaction's #nationaldoodleday auction in September! No IRL selfie with my doodle as I don't want to inflict my face upon you all at such a late hour! (Also super well chuffed last year's doodle is on the envelope!! Mega!)

Book Post!

Forgot to post this! These arrived in the week from Hodder Education! It was great fun working on these :)

was great fun working on these :)

Pic Book roughs

How's your Sunday? Mine is working out how a duck, seagull, bear and a fox change a tyre on a camper van (Annoying there's no seagull emoji!)

Mermay

Ooh haven't posted for a while! So here's a warm up doodle for #mermay

The green man

Hasn't it been a lovely summery day! My big rose has flowered, which in my garden signals warm weather from now on! So here is the pagan chap of all things summery The Green Man morris dancing his way towards midsummer in four weeks time!

News!

Have officially started work on my first self penned picture book!! 🤩 Feeling a little bit like Duck here! 😂 Yikes!

Mermay

A Mergirl and her dolphin pal for #mermay

Mermay

Another uneditable all kindsa want to change addition from the sketchbook for #mermay (I kinda like how you can just see the ghost of my previous start underneath though!) 🧜

May the 4th be with you

Happy May the 4th Star Wars fans! I definitely wouldn't be able to help myself doing this if I worked on Kylo Rens dreadnought...

Mermay

This #mermayis sad because I didn't finish the rock she's sat on as I've got to get ready to head off to Stockholm, and because I gave her massive Edwardian style hair

Mermay

Late to #mermay but here's this morning's warm up sketch straight from the sketchbook! The fact her right arm is longer than her left will have to trouble me forever, as I'm working in the market today and not able to Photoshop it!
