Still working on trend projects!

So I'm still away from Illustrating for a wee  longer as I'm finishing off moods for Lurex. Feeling awfully guilty not illustrating. But in the meantime, this has happened.
My rose has re-flowered and my sweet peas are still going...

Dragonfly loves my french beans...

Popped back to Hereford and bumped into Jessica Johnson who I know from a decade ago whose work is aces!

Big Face Mustachio Cat has made an appearance after a two week absence! Samson did a half arsed effort of shooing him away.

I made this fella from a free pattern off the internet for my best chum Caths b.day!

And at Hotham where she lives I helped the sister in law Hatty make her train b.day cake! :D Chocolate sponge train, meringue steam and courgette with lemon icing trucks and banoffe with peanut butter icing bigger trucks filled with sweeties!

Meanwhile my garden is still blooming!

Had to tie the voodoo lilly to the side as it was shadowing everything it's got so big!

Very pleased with my Larkspur I grew from seed

I've had terrible trouble with tiny snails eating my bean leaves and my hollyhocks!

Garden Update!

All the sweet peas are out and smelling wonderful!

My lillies are just about to flower soon...

And the Strawberries are delicious, just in time for the end of Wimbledon! :)

Garden update!

Looks horrendous but Pedro dug out a new flower bed today and I need to get some more plants in! I've some Larkspur at the back and already there at the back are my two roses and honeysuckle and bordering the edge my lettuces!

Not the greatest pic, but the rose has so many buds! And it the background (and not really our garden but upstairs that they never use!) my struggling sweet peas.

Fuchsia's are budding up...

...and the insects love the Alliums!

Lots of bees come to visit :)

May garden update!

Well I've planted in a third of my sweet peas, and I have far too many! I'm giving them away to my lovely chum Faith whose getting married later this year and can hopefully use them then.
Otherwise, lots of things are popping up. The bluebells are appallingly weedy though, they weren't the best bulbs, hopefully they'll put on a better show next year. All the tulips and daffs are about done, the big rose has buds on, as have my little peonies and the climbing roses are coming on steadily.
The lilly of the valley in the hanging basket have buds on, can't wait for those to flower, and I put in a cascading begonia bulb and sprinkled in some lobelia and something else which my mind can't recall! So when they flower it'll be a good surprise!

Summer seeds!

Here sits 350 potential Sweet Peas (55 from Dad's garden and 35 from a seed packet the rest from last years crop!) a handful of Freesia in an egg carton and two cascading Begonias in half a fizzy pop bottle taking up my kitchen work top until they're big enough to go outside!
I really need a greenhouse

Spring time flowering!

Strawberries are romping away and the sweet peas are coming on nicely. The tulips finally flowered!!

Spring time at Ridley Road.

It's all a little messy but spring is go in the garden. All my tulips are budding up, as are the peonies in the tubs. My pink that I planted last summer finally bloomed and its white! Typical! Hoping the peonies'll help colour the back wall. The persian buttercups are in with the Rose so that'll be amazingly colourful come summer.
Put sweetpeas and poppies into seed trays as well as repotting my dads fuchsia cuttings. And the Amaryllis from Christmas has shot up again. Hoping for a second lot of flowers!

Just leaves sorting out the window boxes out the front and repotting the mini orange tree. Happy sunny saturday.
